    Amazing chicken. Probably the best I've had in my life. Huge wings and juicy tenders. My only regret is I didn't get the waffle. But I'll get it next time because I'll be back

    Whew! If you're looking for a true, seasoned, southern meal -- look no further! I've been here about four times now but on my first visit I was very skeptical. This place was recommended to me by an Austin native and at the time, "true soulfood" + "Austin" just didn't go in the same sentence lol -- until I tried this restaurant! their fish is so fresh + fried to perfection. Their yams are a bitttttt too sweet but I still order them every time (I just don't eat all the syrup). The owners are a delightful family + always so welcoming when I visit. I hate that it is a bit of a drive but honestly that is probably a good thing so I can keep the scale down, ha!

    Ok so I love chicken and waffles I must say, I been knew this place was opening but I approve been come to try it out, I was pleased with my meal, the chicken wasn't over seasoned and the waffle was good, so I'm very pleased have to take the wife here see what she thinks. Whip My Soul! I'll be back!

    Came for lunch and YUM. The combo plates are filling and delicious. A little pricey but everything is so fresh especially around lunch time when it's busy. Cornbread - mmm can never go wrong. Very comfort food and friendly staff.
